Dear PTA Members and Supporters,
Today is Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving, volunteerism, and simple acts of kindness. It occurs the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and was conceived in 2012 to simply encourage people to do good. Over the past seven years it has grown into a global movement that has inspired hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
California State PTA's work on behalf of families, children, and schools is more vital now than ever before. If you are so inclined, we encourage you to donate to PTA or join today, to help us continue to fulfill our mission. As you know, this has been a difficult year for individuals, and also for non-profit organizations -- especially those such as PTA which are entirely member-supported.
Your donation or membership will allow us to help schools and school districts get through the COVID-19 crisis; enhance our advocacy for school funding, arts education and racial equity; and support the 3400 local PTA member units, councils and districts doing amazing work throughout California.
